Order Verifier

Order Verifier

Automatic quality control of picked orders

SSI SCHAEFER has developed an efficient solution that you can use to prevent picking errors and fulfill the legal requirements for order traceability. The new Order Verifier enables you to check and document picked orders. In doing so, you reduce the number of picking errors to almost zero and fulfill the Six Sigma quality targets.

The Order Verifier achieves a technical performance of up to 3000 items per hour. The products are identified, checked and documented in just one single step. This technology is extremely precise and has been registered for patent approval.

Compared with manual checking, the cost-saving advantage can be as high as 95 percent. As a consequence, the Order Verifier generally pays for itself in less than two years.

You achieve savings with the Order Verifier in two different ways. Firstly, you reduce the number of errors and the associated returns. Secondly, the checking process itself is automated. The system can be operated as either a stand-alone solution or integrated into an existing system and can also be retrofitted.

ORDER VERIFIER - FUNCTIONS AND BENEFITS

The Order Verifier enables you to check and document picked orders. In doing so, you reduce the number of picking errors to almost zero and fulfill the Six Sigma quality targets.

In the first step, the picked orders are delivered in containers and emptied onto a conveyor belt. The products are automatically separated on this conveyor belt and transported to the reader station. In the reader station, a scanner records and documents the individual products at a throughput speed of 2.5 m/s.

Depending on the requirements, this takes place using 1D barcodes, 2D matrix codes and RFID transponders. In the final step, the products are compiled again in containers and continue on their way to the customer.
